Party Invitations
Party invitations are the first introductions your guests have to your party. Make sure that they are informative, specifying the date, time, and location of your event. Along with any other important details that your guests need to be made aware of. Send them out to allow ample time for your guests to R.S.V.P. and don’t forget to include more than one way for them to contact you. Email is a great way for busy people to R.S.V.P. so consider including your email address!
Adding a personal touch to a party invitation is a great way to build excitement and interest for your party. Making your own invitations can really set them apart, and make your future guests sparkle with anticipation.Here are some quick tips for crafting your own unique party invitations:
* Use colored construction paper folded in half. Make the paper fit the colors of your party theme (i.e. for a boy’s birthday party use blue), draw simple designs on the outside and the party details on the inside.
* If you’re uncomfortable drawing, use the above example, but cut out pictures that fit your party theme and glue them to the invitation. * Cut a design out of colored construction paper, draw a design on one side and the party details for the other. For example, cut out the shape of a birthday cake complete with candles.
* Include props with your invitations for added effect. For example, a tiny amount of sand or a seashell for your beach party.
* Make sure you use creative language to describe your event. Instead of simply writing “birthday party”, write “Bobby’s SpongeBob Birthday Party Under the Sea!” or something like that. Remember, be creative.
* Seal your invitations with a colorful sticker and use stamps that relate to your party theme.Not everyone has the time or energy to create their own invitations. Don’t worry though, there are a lot of great party themed invitations already made that can easily be personalized for your event. Or, you can purchase blank invitations that you can fill out yourself. Either of these are options for your event.
